A CLOSER LOOK

The Episcopal Church in the USA (ECUSA), is a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion, led by Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury. We are a confederation of diversity. We hold differing theological views while adhering to Orthodox Christianity.

As such, we believe in Christ's divinity, the Doctrine of the Trinity, the primacy of Holy Scripture and the teaching of the first four Ecumenical Councils. In addition, Episcopalians are known for the "three-legged stool" of Tradition, Reason and Scripture. "Experience" is now the fourth leg of the stool as we have grown in our understanding of the diversity of experiences of God as God works in and through many cultures here in the US and in the global arena as well.

We welcome all people and invite all to become part of our community. Because we honor diversity, we do not ask people to become like us but, rather, we offer a safe place and a safe community in which one's own theological views are held sacred.

Welcome and Blessings!
